Installation manual
WrapTec is a material for sealings in the area of technical insulation. The unique self-welding characteristic allows fast and easy installations at any construction site. The high performance material provides an extreme UV stability and weather resistance in all environments. Due to its absolute water and humidity tight sealing it prevents corrosion under insulation (CUI) at the duct pipe.

Protection of the pre-insulated pipes of Domestic Services/ heating and process engineering installations for energy saving.
WrapTec is to be used as a UV- and weather-resistant, self-sealing covering material.
The Pipework/Ductwork insulation has to be covered with WrapTec over it’s entire surface and has to be laid with a minimum of 20mm overlapping. All overlaps of the individual WrapTec sheets are to be undertaken utilising the self-welding properties of the material without the use of additional adhesives in order to prevent moisture from entering and thus ensuring the permanent weather proofing performance of the insulation covering.
All insulated pipes, including Bends and tees and other connections, must be made permanently waterproof. All connections and components protruding from the cladding must be sealed with the WrapTec System M-Glue Adhesive to ensure a permanent, watertight sealing of the system.
